TAMBARA

                    

                       Tamabara is an Indie Film from the Philippines that tells about how important it is to respect other beliefs. The main character of the movie was named Lando, he's a gradeschool teacher and a husband, his wife's name was Luisa who's almost 9 month pregnant. 
                     One day, Father Cabelles asked Lando to rebuilt the Chapel in his town because he wants to have a mass there, so Lando agreed. Lando went to the Chapel and found his friend on the way and ask for his help, he agreed so they went to the Chapel and found Datu Pikong (The Bagobo Tribal Shaman) a healer and uses imaginary phone to asked for the help of Apo Sandawa to be healed from the punishment from the fairies. But Lando thinks he was just fooling those people that's why He destroyed the "Tambara" (Altar of the Delties), which was located under the Balete Tree.
                     At that moment his wife was experiencing a stomach ache which was the sign of giving a birth but he don't know what to do that's why he called Manang Linda, but there's something wrong of the delivery and she don't know what else to do, they tried to brought her into the hospital but they can't even go to nearest clinic because of the rain and the river was overflowed and the bridge was destroyed, so they don't have a choice but to go back. Manang Linda, don't know what to do anymore but to ask for Datu Pikong's help but Lando disagreed because he don't trust Datu Pikong but he don't have a choice but to give it a try, so Manang Linda went to Datu Pikong's house and asked for his help.
                   Datu Pikong and Manang Linda arrived into Lando's house, and Datu Pikong said that he doesn't know how to deliver a child, So Datu Pikong used his imaginary phone again and ask for Apo Sandawa's help, Apo Sandawa told Datu Pikong what Lando have done (Destroyed the Tambara) and Datu Pikong was shocked, he told Lando that many diwatas (fairies) was mad, so that he needs to offer a pig but he doesn't have a pig but he promised to offer it the next day, and the other diwata asked for the blood of chicken, but Manang called Lando and told him that Luisa was not breathing that's why Datu Pikong asked for Apo Sandawa's help  and said that Luisa's soul was dragged out of her body, but he insisted to help him he wants Lando to ask for forgiveness and to dance (Eagle Dance) but Lando don't know how to dance that's why Datu danced for him. And after that the baby was born and his wife was breathing again, he then realized that he should respect other beliefs and he danced with Datu Pikong.

We should not judge other people just because they look stupid and everything, for example Lando judging Datu Pikong he looks stupid because of his Imaginary phone but it doesn't mean that he's telling lies, that's his beliefs and his tribe belief and we should respect that. Mind your own business as long

The characters are speaking Cebuano (One of the famous dialect in the Philippines), Most of the actors and actress aren't that good but there're still trying their best to make the movie much better, especially Datu Pikong because his still telling jokes even though that certain part of the movie was serious. You'll understand what I'm telling if you watch the movie. :)
